Is it possible to get Xbox live in Iraq? Can you really get internet in your room? My husband will be at camp anacanda if that helps. Thank you!

some places had internet acess, depends on where you are and who the command is.

i have heard some things about that, i know someone who was doing prison guard stuff overthere and he had internet in his room so the whole x-box thing isnt really that far fetched to me. it has come a long way from the start of the war.

rofl, there's usually 1 dsl line (maybe 6Mbps up and down)...but get this: it needs to be SHARED by all people within a camp (say maybe 150 people.)

you have to ask him. i do know that they can have game systems there but not sure about live play. the military may not allow it and if the phones are any indication of communication the service isn't that great. right now a lot of the bases there in the green zone and in the combat outposts are in blackout mode because of the recent rise in attacks so they maybe banning all communication right now. hey, thanks for you and your hubby's sacrifice and service to our nation...i have family in the army in iraq i know what you're going through.

No you can't get internet access in your room but they do have a room with computers and they can get x-box live someone in there unit has to buy it and they are really cheap for americans but when they come back they have to leave them in Iraq.

Yes, you can depending on your base, usually it is just wireless though, so he will need a wireless adapter.
