Well I do have a friend from Iraq . He is also my elderly land lord . The first Land lord I ever considered a friend . He is an American citizen now for over 30 years though he has relatives in Iraq He went to Iraq last summer . He told me the country of his birth has been ravaged . He said over 5 million children have been killed maimed and / or Orphaned . He told me this and much more with tears in his eyes . As a Widow Of a US Veteran I have Never felt so ashamed of our country > Knowing why our country really became involved there . And I know our soldiers and the Iraq people died there for Oil and profit . I despise Bush but more so Cheney for getting US involved there .And Using 9/11 ( another travesty that happened to US ) as an excuse to make a profit . I would rather walk the rest of my life then use the oil bought with blood money in Iraq .

Well, at least we have a timetable to leave. You and your Muslim friends appear to be here to stay. A decision most distressful for many Americans. I cannot agree that Saddam was a good man, but he was an effective leader in a most diabolical way. He did keep a lid on the internal strife inside Iraq, but at what cost ? Most importantly, he kept Iran in tow and balance of power in the middle east fairly balanced. The balance of power back when Saddam was still in office was easier to achieve. Russia saw to that, because it didn't want to lose either Iran of Iraq to US influence, so what it gave to one, it also gave to the other. That all changed when Saddam lost power, now Russia was throwing all its resources to Iran because it had lost its trading partner in Iraq. Thus, the new found power that Iran has acquired since the fall of Saddam.

If true that you live in Iraq, then add my deepest apologies for the Bush/Cheney illegal attack upon your sleeping nation that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi people, including children. If you get a chance, view Michael Moore's documentary entitled, "Fahrenheit 9/11", and you will see that most Americans did NOT agree with the Bush administration's illegal (war criminals) act. However, as a former military person, I would like you to reconsider labeling the military troops remaining in Iraq (but returning home this month) as "terrorists." If you are familiar with any army in any nation, the soldiers simply do what they are ordered to do. They are being patriotic, so the villainy lies with the top levels who issue the orders. If true that you live in Iraq, then I would suggest you begin a movement in your country to have the United Nations convene a War Crimes Tribunal against the entire Bush administration. When you do this, also get a "60 Minutes" tape from back in the Bush/Quayle days that explains how the first Bush (George Herbert Walker Bush, GW's dad) used a LIE from the Kuwaiti Ambassador's daughter (KNOWN to him from White House events) to convince the American people Saddam and his soldiers were evil---and he LIED TO CONGRESS, the "60 Minutes" CBS segment revealed, after first hiring a Washington D.C.-based PUBLICITY FIRM, named Hill & Knowlton, to deliberately and wrongly paint Saddam as a VILLAIN during an election year when Bush was trailing in the polls behind both Bill Clinton and Ross Perot. Use this tape as evidence in the War Crimes Tribunal in order to get justice from the World Court. Also use the information that Bush's own brother, Marvin Bush, as well as GW's maternal uncle and cousin Wirt Walker I and Wirt Walker III, were principles for the "security" firm (Securacom, now Securatec, Inc.) that was supposed to handle security for United Airlines (two 9/11 planes were United), Dulles International Airport (two 9/11 planes flew out of Dulles), and the World Trade Center---and these motley three were also on the board (Wirt I chairman on all these board) of the REINSURER of the World Trade Center and also Riggs Bank, the bank found to have laundered money for two of the hijackers on 9/11 through the WIFE of Prince Bandar, a BUSH FAMILY FRIEND and also a trained pilot and long-time friend of the bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia. I feel your pain and beat the peace drum every chance I get. I loathed what Bush did and loathe what Obama is continuing. Getting us into Afghanistan is going from bad to worse and there's only so long you can blame the man that came before you. I want nothing so much as us to get out of the Middle East and end all funding to Middle East country. To top it all off, we spent at least 60 cents on the dollar on the war machine. It's throwing us into the poor house and what are we even accomplishing? We wouldn't have a problem with terrorism if we stayed out of the Middle East.
